• ACCIONA plays an active role at the Copenhagen Summit by presenting proposals for combating climate change with regard to elements that directly affect civil society.

• According to the Best Spanish Brands 2009 (Mejores Marcas Españolas 2009) report, ACCIONA leads the list of B2B companies. This annual table, published by Interbrand, includes 30 premier Spanish brands from among the 5,000 largest Spanish companies in the services, financial, fashion and food sectors.

• ACCIONA obtains preassignment of 1,100 MW of renewable energy in Spain. This translates into 12% of the total preassigned by the Industry Ministry. Five thermo solar projects presented by the Company, with a total capacity of 250 MW, are included in the Ministry Registry.

• ACCIONA Agua is part of a business consortium that is awarded the contract for the construction of the largest wastewater plant in the world - in Mexico. This facility will provide wastewater treatment for 10.5 million people. The project is valued at almost €500 million.

• The King of Spain unveils a monument designed by Santiago Calatrava and built by ACCIONA to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Caja Madrid savings bank.

• ACCIONA participates in 4 new CENIT projects valued at over € 23 million. The Company is already participating in 12 projects designed to increase R&D and Innovation investment levels in Spain.
