  • ACCIONA has increased its wind power potential by 49% (up to 4,000 MW) in Spain in 2009.

  • In 2010, ACCIONA won its first purifying plant operation and maintenance contract in Andorra.

  • ACCIONA is heading up efforts by a European 16-company consortium set up to research the integration of different marine energies.

  • ACCIONA presented its 2010-13 Strategic Plan, defined as realistic and prudent, which is backed by a solid financial structure. The Company's objective is to achieve a strong rate of growth over the period. According to this Plan, ACCIONA will increase annual sales by 14%, operating profit by 22% and pre-tax results by 45%. The Plan includes €6.5 billion in investments. The Company debt ratio will be reduced by 40%, from 6.4x EBITDA in 2009 to 2.8x by 2013.

  • ACCIONA is awarded construction contracts for 3 wind farms in Mexico that will generate a total of 306 MW and require a total investment of over €450 million.
