  • José Manuel Entrecanales becomes the first Spaniard elected to the Executive Committee of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).

  • ACCIONA completes start-up of its largest wind farm, located in Victoria State, Australia. The 192 MW facility was built at an investment of €270 million and includes 128 cutting-edge WTGs.

  • ACCIONA Windpower has the capability to provide electrical power to 140,000 households.

  • The US Army chooses ACCIONA to undertake its largest-ever renewables project.

  • The project includes the installation of 500 MW of solar energy generation at Fort Irwin (California) - the largest troop training camp in the country. This facility is also home to a NASA communications center.

  • ACCIONA Agua enters the Dominican Republic, where it will build the Peravia Water Treatment Plant and Aqueduct.

  • ACCIONA’s Chairman & CEO becomes the first Spaniard elected to the Executive Committee of the WBCSD.
